Description

The Door Supervisor Training Course is for anyone who wants to work legally as a Door Supervisor or a Security Guard in the UK.

With severe shortages in the industry, now’s a perfect time to get your SIA Licence and work in the security industry.

This 6-day course contains the knowledge and skills you need to pass your exam and apply for your SIA Licence. That licence is your ticket to working in the growing security industry, where your skills will be in constant demand.

Some of the roles you could find yourself working in include:

  • Door Supervisor for nightclubs, bars and restaurants
  • Event Security
  • Corporate Security Officer
  • Retail Security
  • Loss Prevention Officer
  • And more!

Door Supervisor Training vs Security Guard Training

We’re often asked what the difference is between a Door Supervisor Licence and a Security Guard Licence. Luckily, the difference is easy to remember. A Door Supervisor Licence allows you to work as a Door Supervisor and a Security Guard, while a Security Guard Licence only allows you to work in a Manned Guarding role.

Most employers prefer a Door Supervisor Licence over a Security Guard Licence.

Key topics include:

  • The main characteristics of the Private Security Industry
  • The importance of safe working practices
  • Drug-misuse legislation
  • Issues and procedures relevant to the role of a door supervisor
  • Licensing law

  • How to recognise, assess and reduce risk in conflict situations
  • Problem-solving techniques when resolving conflict
